function/sub-system At this level of the AH, there are 12 variables that describe the state of the microworld: MO1, EI1, EO1, M1, E1, MI1, MO2, EI2, EO2, M2, E2 and MI2 (see Bisantz and Vicente 1994). With the addition of time, they form a 13-dimensional space. Multi-variance is de®ned in the same way as variance at the goal level, except thatthe variables are normalized with respect to their maximum possible scale values. This normalization process removes any arti®cial, di erential-weighting e ects caused by heterogeneous numerical scales across variables. There are actually two ways to calculate variance at this level of the AH, one that is context-sensitive and another that is not: (1) The ®rst way is by normalization with respect to the setpoint variables (D1, T1, D2 and T2), as well as scale (shown in table A1). (2) The second method is by normalization with respect to scale only (shown in

Identifying and Ranking Development Drivers of Knowledge-based Technology-Driven Companies (Case study: Fars Province Science and Technology Park)
The purpose of this Study study is to identify and rank the development drivers of knowledge-based, technology-driven businesses. This work is conducted as a case study in Fars Province Science and Technology Park. It is a descriptive survey in terms of purpose since a part of its data is collected through questionnaires and is of surveying type because it describes the existing conditions. The...
متن کاملEfficiency Measurement of Clinical Units Using Integrated Independent Component Analysis-DEA Model under Fuzzy Conditions
Background and Objectives: Evaluating the performance of clinical units is critical for effective management of health settings. Certain assessment of clinical variables for performance analysis is not always possible, calling for use of uncertainty theory. This study aimed to develop and evaluate an integrated independent component analysis-fuzzy-data envelopment analysis approach to accurate ...
متن کاملDEVELOPMENT OF PRODUCTIVITY MEASUREMENT AND ANALYSIS FRAMEWORK FOR MANUFACTURING COMPANIES
The purpose of this research is to present an alternative approach for measuring productivity in manufacturing companies. To achieve the research objective, an in depth investigation on the existing productivity measurement and analysis practices of a case manufacturing company has been carried out through both qualitative and quantitative approaches. The investigation result has shown that the...
متن کاملScore Generalizability of Writing Assessment: the Effect of Rater’s Gender
The score reliability of language performance tests has attracted increasing interest. Classical Test Theory cannot examine multiple sources of measurement error. Generalizability theory extends Classical Test Theory to provide a practical framework to identify and estimate multiple factors contributing to the total variance of measurement. Generalizability theory by using analysis of variance ...
متن کاملPortfolio Performance Evaluation in a Modified Mean-Variance-Skewness Framework with Negative Data
The present study is an attempt toward evaluating the performance of portfolios using mean-variance-skewness model with negative data. Mean-variance non-linear framework and mean-variance-skewness non- linear framework had been proposed based on Data Envelopment Analysis, which the variance of the assets had been used as an input to the DEA and expected return and skewness were the output. C...
